A few months ago, my mother was advised by her physician to have her thyroid gland removed. My girlfriend’s mom, on the other hand, was also scheduled for skin grafting of her right leg wound due to cellulitis. But both of them seemed to be very busy that they always have their operations postponed. Finally, the week came that my mom had her operation scheduled in a nearby hospital. And it was also the same week and the same hospital that my girlfriend’s mom was confined for her supposed operation. Her mom was admitted Monday night, in a semi-private room, first bed. Unfortunately, after going through some tests for almost two days, she was advised by her doctor that the equipment needed for skin grafting was not available in that hospital. By Wednesday after lunch, she was discharged. On the same day, late Wednesday afternoon, my mom was confined in the same hospital for her scheduled operation. To my surprise, she was assigned in the same semi-private room, and the same bed! The food that was served to her for dinner was e ven named still to my girlfriend’s mom. It was a really funny incident, a big coincidence. I would say that it was one of the things that I consider a very inspiring circumstance in our relationship.
