What is customer service? Well, let me share with you my experience in a cooperative office that would somehow tell us what good customer service really is.
Yesterday, my mom authorized me to withdraw on her behalf since she is sick and currently staying in a hotel to recover from her treatment. I brought with me my driver’s license and withdrawal slip signed by her, but I didn’t have her passbook because she couldn’t remember where she placed it. When I got there, I approached one of the personnel for me to know how to go about it. She just instructed me to pay for a passbook replacement. But when I spoke to the teller, she hesitated to transact the said withdrawal because of the misplaced passbook, despite of my proposal that I will pay for a replacement. So I tried to push my luck, went home, attempted to look for such passbook. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve an old one.
I hurried back to the cooperative office to make the withdrawal, and handed the teller all the requirements properly. She sarcastically told me that how come I have the passbook with me, while trying to finish processing the transaction. After doing so, she dropped off my I.D. on the counter in an impolite manner. I felt mistreated as a customer that’s why I told her that she must be professional enough in dealing with her clients and that she should observe proper customer service. Instead of being apologetic, she rudely answered back and some things that a customer service personnel shouldn’t say.
We are greatly aware that in business, anybody can be a potential customer. That’s why it is but important that we treat our customers the best way we can and provide them the best service. As they say, customer service is the life-blood of any business, because it’s either you gain or you lose your clients. It’s about bringing customers in and bringing customers back. I believe that we must be helpful and polite enough in dealing with them, and that we should learn to be good listeners. Most importantly, we have to deal with complaints, receive comments from our customers, and address their concerns in a win-win situation.

Hi there!
I’ve been visiting your blog for a while now and I always find a gem in your new posts. Thanks for sharing.
Just recently, a friend of mine shared this online community of bloggers and other people making legitimate money on the internet. I immediately joined as I found out that a successful Filipino Internet Entrepreneur named Joel Christopher Remandaban is hanging out there once in a while. To know more about him, you can check out the following article clip:
http://globalnation.inquirer.net/cebudailynews/enterprise/view/20090209-188291/How-to-be-a-netpreneur
I enjoy being in that community as I was able to access F-R-E-E recorded video seminars on how to make money online, recorded webinars of Joel himself on different online money-making topics, informative blog/video series on how to setup a home-based internet business, and most of all, I am able to interact with people who are already successful online.
I highly recommend that you join our community so that you can also experience the great benefits that this community is offering. It's called IM4Pinoy or Internet Marketing for Pinoy. There's no charge to signup so join us now at http://www.im4pinoy.com
See you there!
