- Preventing a new jeans to fade its color is best done by soaking it in a solution of cold salt-water (two tbsp. per gallon of water) before washing them.
- Turning the pants inside out-reduces the wear from friction caused by washing. Do this before laundering.
- Washed faded jeans with a pair of new jeans that have never been laundered. The dye and sizing of the new pair of jeans will add color to the old ones.
- When its rainy season. Jeans will usually have muddy knees and bottoms. Rinse them under the faucet and let them soaked overnight in a basin of water with1/4 cup ammonia and 1/4 cup detergent. Wash them as usual.
